What is iPaaS
iPaaS is a cloud-based integration tools for building and deploying integrations within the cloud and between the cloud and enterprise. These include tools and technologies that support the execution of integration flows, the development and life cycle management of integrations, the management and monitoring of application flows, governance, and essential cloud features such as multitenancy, elasticity and self-provisioning. With iPaaS, users can develop integration flows that connect applications residing in the cloud or on-premises and then deploy them without installing or managing any hardware or middleware.

Benefits
Elastic Multi-Tenant Architecture. Most iPaaS tools enable multiple tenants to effectively distribute computing resources and orchestrate processes across different environments and servers
Meet Enterprise Standards. Most iPaaS tools support commonly used and accepted transport methods. This provides for universal translation and extensibility. They also support a wide variety of enterprise integration scenarios, like EDI, standards-based web services and industry-specific standards such as HL7 for healthcare
Support Real-Time Integration. The capability for low-latency processing and easily scaling up/down for storage or growth allows iPaaS tools the ability/credibility to support real-time integration
Centralized Management. iPaaS tools provide intuitive, web-based consoles for creating, deploying, monitoring and managing processes. All of these views are contained within easily accessible web portals
